Deregistration actions
This section contains announcements about the Registrar's use of deregistration powers under the CATSI Act. Announcements are not published for every deregistration action. They are published where they support regulatory objectives, promote compliance, or protect the integrity of the regulatory framework. Most often the action highlighted in announcements relates to groups of corporations that are inactive or dormant, including those that keep failing to lodge annual reports.
About Registrar-initiated deregistrations
The Registrar initiating deregistration of a corporation is a regulatory process available under the CATSI Act in specified circumstances. It may be used where a corporation is no longer operating, no longer meets its obligations, or where other legislative grounds for deregistration exist.
For information about the deregistration process, eligibility and legislative requirements, see Registrar-initiated deregistration.
